Building a laundromat from a white box or ground up can be a huge, intimidating undertaking. It’s a lot to bite off, especially if it’s your first time. When it comes to building out a space for a laundromat, the devil is in the details.

  • WHO is going to oversee and manage the process?
  • WHAT is the ideal equipment mix?
  • WHERE is the ideal location to build?
  • WHY are there so many details to keep track of? 🙂
  • HOW do you negotiate the right lease with the landlord?
  • WHEN each step is performed is just as important as making sure you don’t miss a step.

Jordan was VERY knowledgeable and thorough during our consultation. He answered more questions than I was prepared to ask and became an invaluable resource for my start in the laundromat journey. If there were more stars I would give more than 5. Very satisfied ending our call and more motivated than ever. Thank you, Jordan!!

Common Questions

Common Questions

Building a laundromat from scratch does require capital. We recommend booking a call to speak with our team if you have around $150,000 or more of liquid capital to invest. This is not a hard and fast number, so if you are close, feel free to book a call and we can see if there are options that suit your situation.

Building a laundromat does take some time. It is difficult to give a definitive amount of time as permitting processes differ, each project will be unique, and there are always surprises that arise. However, generally a build from day one to Grand Opening is around 6-8 months.

While this build team is focused mostly on the build out process, the Laundromat Playbook, which is a comprehensive program to help you optimize your laundromat and scale your business is available to you, as well. The Laundromat Playbook includes educational resources, proprietary tools, and one-on-one coaching with one of our consultants, to name a few of the perks.

We will connect you with our lending partners during the process. However, you are not obligated to use them. They are just one of the tools to help you build your business that will be available to you.

The initial call will be with Jordan. It will be short and the goal will be to determine if this program is a good fit for both parties. Should we both decide it’s a good fit, we’ll schedule a second call with a senior member of our Build team. This is where you’ll be able to get the rest of your questions answered and decide if you want to get the process started. Once you’re signed up you’ll be in contact with more members of the Build team, including your personal project manager. If you are also a member of the Laundromat Playbook, you’ll also have your 0ne-on-one coach who will make sure you’re ready for opening day!
