I finally got up the courage to go and ask one of the closest laundromats to my house if they were interested in selling, and it sounds like they might be! We’re going to talk next week. But in the meantime, I have to think about what this deal means, compared to others I’ve considered, because this is one of those combo businesses with a dry cleaner attached. I have NO interest in buying a dry cleaner. I don’t know the first thing about it except that I could be inheriting a huge environmental contamination headache and I don’t even want to think about that. So, does anyone have any experience in talking to combo business owners into just selling the laundromat? Is this simple, or should I expect a huge hassle? Conversely, am I wrong to avoid dry cleaners like the plague?
